At the beginning of October 2025, Sake Week Vienna 2025 took place in Vienna.

This year’s Sake Week Vienna featured a particularly diverse program, including tastings, seminars, and sake-pairing dinners at various locations throughout Vienna.

As part of the week, I attended a masterclass and a sake tasting, and I am delighted to share my experiences here.

Masterclass: “Drinking Vessels”

The masterclass took place at the SHIKI Boutique in Vienna.

The SHIKI Boutique is a carefully curated concept store offering traditional Japanese craftsmanship, including lacquerware, tinware, handcrafted knives, and exquisite ceramics.

The boutique also features a “Sakethek”, offering a high-quality selection of Japanese sake, as well as an eight-seat sushi counter serving an omakase menu. Together, these elements create a unique space where craftsmanship and culinary culture come together…
